由摄影网站“关于摄影”（all about photo）举办的著名摄影赛事“关于摄影-心灵之眼奖”（all about photo awards - the mind's eye）近日公布了其2020年度获奖结果。结果显示，前五名中，女性摄影师占四席。其中，美国女摄影师monica denevan凭借系列作品《河之歌：缅甸肖像》（songs of the river: portraits from burma）中的“缅甸渡河”（across the river, burma）一图获大赛冠军。她也因此获得了5000美元的现金奖励。

自2000年起，denevan几乎每隔两年便会前往缅甸一次，花2到4周不等的时间拍摄城市之外的百姓生活。她在接受大赛主办方专访时提到，自己在中学时期第一次借用母亲的柯达傻瓜相机为朋友们拍照时，便被这个神奇的工具所吸引。
denevan认为，年轻摄影师不应以作品在社交平台上的影响作为衡量自身影像质量的标准，而是应该埋头工作，培养一种不容易被消极或积极观点所左右的内在力量。
她用非功能性、生动、亲密三个词形容自己的摄影风格，并指出，如果不当摄影师，她可能会去做一名探险家、电影导演，又或者儿童读物作家、糕点厨师……

二等奖由意大利摄影师gabriele galimberti获得，他是此次大赛公布的5名获奖者中的唯一男性摄影师，他所拍摄的“在佛罗里达住处外和自家枪支合影的艾弗里”也是此次5幅获奖佳作中的唯一彩色照片。
